Bloggy Nova is the brainchild of Samuel Colunga, writer, and wrestling fan extraordinaire. Samuel was born into a fanatical wrestling household. His parents took him to WCCW matches as a child, and as the years went by he watched greats like the Von Erichs, Magnum TA, Ric Flair, Al Madril, Billy Jack Hayes, Ice Man King Parsons, Black Bart, Great Kabuki, Steve Austin, Midnight Express, Samoan Swat Team, and Cactus Jack come through the Sportatorium. On television Samuel would watch promotions like Mid-South Wrestling, USWA, WWF, and Jim Crockett Promotions. After local wrestling died down in the early 90s, Samuel became a fan of WWF and WCW, as did a lot of kids. His idols were Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, Macho Man, Rick Steamboat, Jake Roberts and Sting. It wasn't until the late 90s that wrestling in the DFW made a comeback. Samuel attended a lot of NWA Southwest shows, as well as local fly-by-night promotions that would set up in the North Side Coliseum, and Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. In the early aughts Samuel fell in love with Professional Championship Wrestling, and began attending their Arlington shows on a regular basis. Samuel now follows and regularly attends Metroplex Wrestling, Ring of Honor, and whenever WWE and TNA come into town. He's been writing about wrestling off and on since 1999. Samuel also has an extensive library of Ring of Honor DVDs, ECW, Ohio Valley Wrestling, New Japan Pro Wrestling and USWA tapes.
